Joel and Celyce Comiskey are former C&MA missionaries to Ecuador, who are now on special assignment with the C&MA in the U.S.A. to help encourage the growth of the cell church in the U.S. Joel also has an international ministry of teaching and presenting seminars on the cell group ministry and has written several books on that subject. They are now based in Southern California where Joel is the "Cell Ministry Overseer" for six Free Methodist churches.

Joel submitted several praises and prayer requests.

PRAISE:

• For the joy of taking the entire family to Taiwan for the cell church missions network.
  
• For the family becoming accustomed to home schooling, the Moreno Valley Area, making new friends in the area.
  
• For safety, protection, and anointing on Joel's speaking and writing. Specifically, we praise God for the two new books by Joel in 2002: An Appointment with the King (Chosen Books) and From Twelve to Three (Touch Publications).
  

PRAYER:

• For Sarah, Nicole, and Chelsea to make solid friendships with kids from the neighborhood and home school network.
  
• For our family to effectively reach out to our neighbors. We plan on inviting individual families to our home for barbeques. Pray that God would give us success.
  
• For Joel to be effective in coaching six Southern California pastors who are wanting to transition their churches to cell church nimistry. Pray for the success of these churches (see details about current ministry).
  
• Pray for God to use Joel's books to make a powerful impact for His Son, Jesus.
  
• Pray for Celyce as she home schools our three daughters. Pray for God to give her wisdom and creativity as she teaches Sarah, Nicole, and Chelsea.
  
• For God's anointing on Joel's seminar speaking in 2002 and 2003. Pray for God's protection on family while Joel is speaking.
  
• For Kevin Strong (friend of Joel's)and his total recovery from cancer.
  
• For God to provide health insurance for our family.
